February 5, 2015 Breed-specific yarns are no longer a niche product. They're rapidly entering the mainstream. Helping make this happen is Solitude Wool, a small yarn company that sources from farms along the Chesapeake Bay watershed. When I first profiled them in 2011, I lamented their lack of a nicely rounded three-ply for anything other than socks. Guess what? With the help of Clun Forest sheep, our wishes have come true.
