Knitter's Review
July 31, 2014
the very first Knitter's Review Retreat group

Thirteen years ago, I invited Knitter's Review readers to join me at a small Virginia inn. The connections were instant and profound. We did it again the next year, and more people came. The following year, even more people came, and so it goes.

The event endures. This November, I invite you to join me for our 13th annual Knitter's Review Retreat. We will gather in the lakeside town of Canandaigua, New York, to learn, play, indulge, inspire, and acquire in the company of special guests Amy Herzog, Carson Demers, Susan B. Anderson, and Julie Weisenberger.

Here are all the details. Registration will take place on Friday, August 15th at 12 noon EST. I do hope you'll join us.

Meanwhile, Down Under
The Australian Sheep & Wool Show took place last weekend. Since 1877, this venerable gathering has been the destination for all things wool. Join our Australian correspondent Kylie Gusset for a special look inside the snow.

Fuzzy Swatches
How can you tell if a yarn is going to leave fuzz all over your clothes? Is it all about the fiber, or does twist come into play? Just one of the many questions that's come up in my Know Your Yarn class on Craftsy. If you haven't taken the class yet, here's $15 off to get you started. See you there!

In the Forums: Ease-y Does It
Emmy has a question about ease. If she wants a sweater with an ease of two inches, does she choose a size that's two-inches larger? Or is that built into the pattern? Answers and discussion here.

As always, I thank you for letting me be a part of your knitting life.

We'll talk again on August 14?! Where did our summer go?
