Knitter's Review

If you slow down and pay close attention, every stitch can tell a great story. I explored this idea in my book The Yarn Whisperer, and it's what inspires a series of booklets being published by Donna Druchunas and Ava Coleman.

They're called Stories in Stitches, and they contain an engaging blend of travel, history, projects, and storytelling that makes for perfect summer reading.

Coming Up
Hard to believe that England's Woolfest has only been around for a decade. On June 27th and 28th, the celebration of all things wool enters its 10th year at Mitchell's Lakeland Livestock Centre in Cockermouth, Cumbria. On the 28th in Carberry, Manitoba, Canada, the Blue Hills Fibre Festival celebrates local yarn producers from Manitoba and across the Prairies. These and hundreds more can be found on our calendar of upcoming events.

Summer Learning
The fact that you're reading Knitter's Review tells me you're already on a quest for yarn knowledge. I want you to feel even more invincible every time you walk into a yarn store or pick up a new skein of yarn. To help get you there, the folks at Craftsy are letting me give you $15 off my Know Your Yarn class. I hope you enjoy it!

In the Forums: Road Tripping
Summer is travel time. On a recent road trip, Martha packed two WIPs and yarn for a new project. What accompanies you on trips?
