Earlier this month, some 120 lovely knitters and I gathered on the shores of Lake Canandaigua for the 12th-annual Knitter's Review Retreat.

I came away with a greater understanding of how knitters work: what we need, and what happens when we get it.

May I explain?

Indiegogo: Let's Bring a Mill to Mendocino
Something exciting is happening in Northern California. Lifelong sheep shearer Matt Gilbert and his wife Sarah are looking to start up a new wool mill in Mendocino. They've set a modest fundraising goal, and I know we can help them reach it.

FedEx Goes Crazy for Cozies
In a recent advertisement for its new One Rate shipping, FedEx showcases what happens when one woman goes a little overboard with cozies. Here's the clip.

Makers Monday
Those of you in the U.S. who wish to support domestic manufacturing, December 2nd has been declared Makers Monday. The idea is to encourage people to purchase even one domestically manufactured product—and they have a list of makers to help you get started.

In the Forums: Ladders?
Pam has tried pretty much everything and still struggles with ladders in her circular knitting. Have any advice?
