I've always been a sucker for cashmere. Add a dusting of silk, give it an unusual twist, and I'm reaching for the needles.

Our friends at Zealana have taken things even further: They've combined cashmere and silk with New Zealand's luxury export, possum down. The result is Zealana Air, a tender, decadent, and unusual yarn. Shall we swatch?

This Weekend in Michigan
Everyone has their bucket list of events they dream of attending, and for me that list includes the Michigan Fiber Festival. It takes place this weekend from August 16-18 at the Allegan County Fairgrounds in Allegan, which is about halfway between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. More than 100 vendors will be there selling everything from looms to baskets, handspun, hand-dyed, and artisan yarns.
