I've just spent a mind-blowing week on a faraway island dotted with special sheep and with people in colorful handknits. I caught sheep and had my ear nibbled by a goat, I saw a double-rainbow, a falcon perched on a fence post, and three white swans in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. I touched centuries-old handknits and gathered with local knitters in a church for their beloved monthly knit-in.

And I have pictures. Escape to Iceland with me.

This weekend
Festival-goers, have I got a weekend for you. The Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival unfolds at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds in Tunbridge. Folks in Berryville, Virginia, can visit the Fall Fiber Festival of Virginia. And in Boorowa, New South Wales, Australia, the Irish Woolfest gets underway on the 30th. Those are just a few highlights of what's happening this weekend.
