Knitter's Review
August 23, 2012
Old bobbins on the piano

The knitting world is full of books about how to knit. We have pattern collections galore, and even books about yarn and fiber itself.

But I can count on one hand the number of books that fall into the category of autobiography.

In September, we welcome a much-anticipated addition: Dreaming in Color, the autobiography of textiles legend Kaffe Fassett. Kaffe fans, save a spot on your bookshelf for this one.

Next weekend in Montana
On Sunday, September 2nd, six blocks of Main Street in Reed Point, Montana, will be overrun with sheep making their annual trek from their summer pastures. In addition to sheep, the Running of the Sheep sheep drive features covered wagons, horse groups, floats, antique cars, and the Shriner's Band. More than 70 vendors will be set up all day along the main street, while a separate area has been set aside for children's activities.

In the Forums: Bidding Adieu
We're talking about those projects that met an untimely demise. Was it a moth that did yours in, or perhaps a washing machine? Tell us about it.

As always, I thank you for your readership and your support.

Talk to you on September 6th!
