Knitter's Review
November 10, 2011

What a weekend. The San Francisco Bay was as blue as ever, the knitters inspiring and the yarn plentiful.

I've brought back stories and pictures from Interweave Knitting Lab, including links to three succulent yarns you'll want to try.

This Weekend in Virginia
Carodan Farm's Knit XPerience retreat takes place this weekend at the charming Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, Virginia—the very same place where our KR Retreat began. And next weekend? The KR Retreat turns 10 in Canandaigua, New York.

How Do You Do That?
The knitting world has a new hero, and his name is Dan Bergstein. Check out his how to knit tutorial. You'll never look at yarn and needles—or tape, staples, and glue—the same way again.

Sheep Tales
Finding himself unemployed, a recent college grad moved back home and started a family. Of Jacob sheep, that is. He rents them out as "landscaping aid" to his clients. Are they raking leaves or pruning the rhododendrons? Nope, they're simply doing what they do best: grazing and keeping the lawn trim. It's just one of several "yeoman startups" described in a New York Times story this week.

In the Forums: Needle Advice?
HopkinGreen is trying to get a grip on all the different interchangeable knitting needles out there. Which ones work for you?
