Knitter's Review
May 5, 2011
an apple a day keeps the creative doldrums at bay

What inspires you? I have my own favorite bookmarks that always pull me out of a creative rut and plant the seeds of new ideas. They're also great places to get lost on a rainy day.

Since it's raining today, I thought you might enjoy a little inspiration. Presenting nine of my favorite creative and inspiring fiber escapes.

This Weekend in Maryland
The grande dame of fiber festivals returns for its 38th year. The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland. Arrive early, bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and prepare for complete, joyous overwhelm. I'll join you.

In the Forum: Correct Collars
Alvern wants to add a collar to a sweater pattern that doesn't include one. Should she simply pick up stitches from around the top neck area and knit away, or does she need to work increases in addition to what she picked up? How would you do it?
