Knitter's Review
September 2, 2010
hello!

Today marks the 10th birthday of Knitter's Review. Where did the time go?

I spent the day in the archives to find out. I found some long-lost friends, gained a little perspective on how we got here, and got a better idea of where we may be headed next. Cue the music for a retrospective on a decade of knitting.

This Weekend in Missouri
Head out to the tiny town of Bethel for the World Sheep and Fiber Arts Festival, now celebrating its 30th year. The event offers all the traditional festival fixings, from sheep shearing and sheepdog demonstrations to sheep-to-shawl competitions, a silent auction, workshops, vendors, and the coronation of a Sheep Festival Queen.

In the Forum: Akin to Kidsilk Haze
Bess has been hunting down substitutes for Kidsilk Haze, Rowan's exquisite brushed blend of silk and mohair. She's amassed quite a list suitable siblings. Check it out and add your favorites.
