Knitter's Review
September 24, 2009
a fitting halo

While August's Sock Summit was all about socks, that's also where I discovered a lovely new lace yarn base that's finding its way into the hand-dyed yarn world. It's a blend of baby alpaca, silk, and cashmere that takes dye beautifully and drapes like a sleeping baby. This week we see how Land O Lace transformed this base yarn into Lou Lou.

This Weekend in Oregon
Definitely meriting a road trip, the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival takes place this weekend at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds in Canby, Oregon. Now in its 13th year, this festival has a growing following and an impressive lineup of vendors, demonstrations, and workshops. Spinners, don't miss the parking lot fleece sale on Sunday from 9 to 3pm near the main gate.

In the Forum: Looking Differently at Stash
I missed this thread when it first began, but it has since grown into quite an interesting discussion. Tanya tends to look at her stash only in terms of the amount of time it'll take to knit up all the yarn. She wants to know if others look at their stash this way, or if they can offer other encouraging perspectives?
