Knitter's Review

Blocked lace

Did you know that the most crucial step in lace knitting has nothing to do with knitting at all? In fact, it doesn't happen until you've cast off your last stitch.

I'm talking about blocking, and this week we look at how it's done and how HandWorks Dressing Wires make it a lot easier.

A Garden Grows
Recently the brave folks at Lorna's Laces let me create my very own color as part of their Color Commentary Series. I love what we created, inspired by the spring flowers in my garden and fittingly called Clara's Garden. You can see the color in this week's cover picture (above) and in the photos that accompany this week's review. As I discovered, creating a colorway of your own can be quite the adventure.

Extreme Shepherding
What happens when you go to Wales and outfit a whole bunch of sheep with LED lights? If you're lucky, and perhaps with a bit of behind-the-scenes editing, you get this YouTube masterpiece by Leonardo Baa-Vinci.
