Do the words "serene intarsia" sound like an oxymoron?

Intarsia is a colorwork technique that involves dropping and picking up colors as you go instead of pulling them all along behind you. Many knitters live in fear of this technique, but not Lucy Neatby. She loves intarsia, and she's determined to help others love it too.

How, you may ask? Through her two new instructional DVDs, Intarsia Untangled 1 and 2. Let's pop them in the DVD player, shall we?

Knitter's Review Retreat Update
For those of you who have been patiently waiting for this year's Knitter's Review Retreat, I have news. Our previously reserved venue has been sold, and the new owners do not wish to host our group. Fortunately, we found a beautiful venue just up the road: the Williams Inn in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The retreat is now taking place there on November 21-23 and I hope to open up registration in three weeks. All the details will be posted here first. I hope you can join us!

Feeding the Forum
As the Knitter's Review Forums continue to grow, so do our monthly bandwidth, storage, and hosting fees. To help make the community truly self-sustaining, we've launched a fundraising raffle. Incredible donations are already pouring in—I even spotted cashmere and bison on the list. The drawing takes place August 24th, and you can find all the details here.

As always, thank you for your readership and your support.

Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the Forums!
Clara Parkes
