Last week it was 9 degrees outside, yesterday it was in the upper 40s, and today it's snowing. What is a knitter to do when the weather won't make up its mind?

We turn to transitional yarns, whose blended fibers cater to warm and cold weather alike. This week I show you one such transitional yarn that blends linen, baby alpaca, and wool. It's called Soft Linen, and as I discovered, the name isn't an oxymoron.

In the Forum: Out of the Woodwork
After years of being the lone knitter everywhere she went, a Forum member is now surrounded by knitters. She wonders where we all came from. Has the world always been populated by knitters but the Internet has made everyone accessible to one another, or did we just spontaneously generate like the yarn in our stashes does when left alone in the dark?
