Noe Knit in San Francisco

Nine years ago I packed up my car and left San Francisco to follow my dreams in coastal Maine. Last weekend I returned to my old neighborhood, only to discover a great new yarn shop had sprung up in my absence.

Had Noe Knit been around when I was in San Francisco, who knows? I may never have left. Join me for a visit.

Casualties of Technology
A technology glitch on our Web server last Thursday left many of you unable to read our review of Balance, a certified organic yarn that blends 50% cotton and 50% Merino. Here's the article for those of you who missed it the first time. My apologies.

In the Forums: Ho-Hum Hand-Dyeds?
We're very lucky to have a plethora of hand-dyed yarns at our disposal these days, but not everybody is delighted with the free-spirited colorways. In fact, at least one forum member has referred to them as "clown barf." Are you underwhelmed by hand-dyed yarns?

Knitter's Review Poll

Since our technical problems last week kept many of you from voting in our poll, I'm keeping it up for another week. The question is do you tend to use the yarn specified in patterns? The answers may be surprising—at least for the yarn companies providing the patterns!

Participate in our Knitter's Review Poll and you'll see an instant tally of all the votes.
