Last week I reviewed a book that contained 101 patterns that could be knit up using one skein of yarn. The one-skein notion can be especially attractive with yarns that cost more than $30 per skein. This week I review one such yarn, a glorious and colorful silky concoction from Artyarns called Silk Rhapsody.

Knitalong 101
In last week's poll I asked if you'd ever taken part in an online knitalong. More than 20% of those who responded said they had no idea what a knitalong was, so here's the answer in a nutshell.

A knitter decides to embark on a project and invites others to join. It could be a specific pattern, a type of item, by a particular designer, from a particular book, even using a specific fiber. Everyone who joins is given a username and password to post progress and chat with others in a blog set up just for that knitalong. Sound like fun?
