Knitter's Review February 26, 2004
|
Say you've been teaching an unusual knitting technique for several years and are ready to write a book about it. One option is to approach a mainstream publisher, or you can follow in Cat Bordi's or Prudence Mapstone's footsteps.
Bordi self-published the runaway hit Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles. And Mapstone turned her years of freeform knitting experience into a self-published book we review this week.

Unexpected Goodbyes
On a personal note, I'd like to take a moment to say farewell to a dear friend who passed away suddenly last week. Preferring the crochet hook to the knitting needle, Jenny Makofsky had a rare and constantly surprising way of seeing the world. We shared more laughter than most friends could hope for in a lifetime, and I will miss her dearly.
As always, I thank you for your readership and your support. Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the forums.
