April 26, 2001
This week's newsletter comes to you a day early as I go off on a journey to Arizona. Next week I'll report on my yarn shop findings.
Seeing Double?
The grand finale to this month's study of knitting needles is a survey of double-pointed needles, or DPNs as they're commonly called.
In addition to an overview and buyer's guide, I've also put together a special step-by-step tutorial on how to get started using DPNs. If you've been intimidated by DPNs, now's your chance to try them out!
Operators Are Standing By...
Only one more week to place those needle orders with Patternworks and get the special Knitter's Review 10% discount. The discount applies to needles only and ends May 3.
To get your discount, simply mention code WKR2 when placing your order online or over the phone (at 800-438-5464), and you'll get the discount.
Grand Opening: Tools Section!
I've created a new Tools section that you can access from the top and bottom navigation bars. No more hunting through all those yarn reviews to find this information! Look for more tools to be added in the future.
What's with the Ads?
Some of you have noticed the new ads running on our site. These are hand-picked vendors whose products I thought you might enjoy.
If you click through and make a purchase on any of these sites, Knitter's Review receives a small percentage of your order.
It's a simple way you can help support Knitter's Review. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, don't hesitate to let me know.
This Month's Winner!
Congratulations to Diana Barnum, the winner of this month's newsletter subscriber giveaway, a $50 gift certificate to eKnitting! If you aren't a subscriber already, subscribe now and you'll be eligible for our next great prize, which will be awarded on May 31!
Happy knitting!
Sincerely,
P.S.-Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, use our simple Tell a Friend form and let them know about us.
