Like people, yarns can be misleading if taken at face value.

My storage is filled with yarns that looked delicious but proved mighty unsavory once I tried to work with them. And likewise, the yarn I review this week appeared rather scratchy and bland until I started knitting with it. After its first wash, it positively blossomed.

Experience Counts

It just serves as a reminder that beauty is only skin deep, especially in the yarn world. You really need to dig deeper and draw from your own instinct and experience when picking yarns. Merino will never behave like cotton, no matter how hard you try.

Yarns for the Budget-Conscious Knitter

As promised, this week I also bring you a compilation of top online sources for inexpensive yarns. Take a look and let me know if I've left out your favorite.

Year-End Giveaway
