Pony |
Material |
Natural wood-based plastic; sizes US 0-8 have steel reinforcement in core.
|
Notes |
Like Pony's single-pointed siblings, these needles are spring steel-reinforced in smaller sizes. The benefit is added strength; the drawback is a potentially annoying tendency to rattle.
These needles have a short, abbreviated taper and a dull tip.
The plastic surface provides a moderate amount of friction for better stitch control.
They come in bright, trendy colors.

I wish I had read your review about these dpns before purchasing a set in
US size 1 which I wanted for socks. Although the needles feel fine in the
hand, their blunt points make it a pain to work with finer yarns,
especially if you are trying to maintain a tight tension. I think for
this kind of work I will stick to the relatively inexpensive aluminum
needles with sharper points which makes it easier to pick up tighter
stitches in finer yarn." pkegh, 5/10/01
