The Cadillac of circular "speed" needles, Addi Turbos are made of nickel-plated brass with a long taper and moderately blunt tip. The gold-colored cord is softer and more pliable than other cords, with an almost rubberlike flexibility and snagless connection to the needle. Managing stitches on these needles can be tricky for the beginner because they are so slippery. |

The are fast and with the no snag connection, it makes knitting smaller items such as hats, socks in the round and mittens in the round much more enjoyable. And I seem to finish an item in less time! The only drawback I've found is the cord is quite thick and I'm having to push the yarn down on the right side which becomes annoying. So what's worse, the pushing up of stitches on the left side or having to push the stitches down on the right side? So altho I'm able to fly with the stitches I'm also spending time pushing. I assume the thickness of the cord varies w/the size of the needle and even tho this is a US 11 I don't think the cord needs to be quite this thick.
