Who doesn't love to get yarn in the mail? Especially when it comes from faraway places in a package with exotic stamps.

This week I got such a package from the Netherlands. It contained two wonderfully crunchy, whole-grain skeins from Romania. They tell a lovely story of childhood, grandparents, and returning to one's roots. Meet Moeke Yarns.

The San Francisco Bay Area is buzzing with knitters this weekend as Stitches West takes place at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
