Imagine you had your very own spinning mill. What kind of yarn would you make?

Anne Bosch has been spinning yarn at Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill for 25 years now. The only thing that surpasses her skill is her curiosity. Recently she's been giving her carding machine a work-out, blending different colors in just the right quantity to produce slow, graceful color progressions in yarn. The result is a true artisan yarn deserving of the name Colorflow.

Remembering
We're still reeling from the sudden loss of Kathreen Ricketson, founder of Whip Up, and her partner Rob Shugg. An education fund has been established for their two children. Meanwhile, Ann and Kay at Mason-Dixon Knitting are organizing a memorial celebration of Kathreen and her work.

Upcoming Events
The Massachusetts Sheep and Woolcraft Fair takes place this weekend at the Cummington Fairgrounds in Cummington, Massachusetts, while the following weekend we'll see the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana, come to life with the Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival. On June 1-2, the 13th annual Maine Fiber Frolic returns to the Windsor Fairgrounds in Windsor, Maine. You'll find many, many more events on our calendar.

In the Forums: Dropping the Ball?
Poor Minh wandered for at least 30 feet while a ball of Sundara silk lace unraveled behind her. A kind man picked it up and chased after her while trying to rewind the ball. When was the last time you "dropped the ball," so to speak?

As ever, I thank you for letting me be a part of your knitting life.

I'll talk to you again on June 6!
