November 1, 2012 Sandy certainly was a whopper of a storm. Many of you were directly in its path, and I dearly hope this finds you safe and warm now. My thoughts are with you. The storm brought talk about preparedness, even knitterly preparedness. Some of you made sure you had several no-brainer projects ready to go. Others went stash diving for a special "comfort" yarn, or checked the printer to make sure there was enough toner to print pattern downloads. For me, it was all about one thing: my Stitch Light. When the the lights went off and I realized my kerosene lamp just wasn't going to cut it, this bright little gadget kept my knitting and my nerves steady.
