October 4, 2012 Magical as it is, Iceland doesn't have a monopoly on yarn. This week we hop the pond to England for a look at a new, distinctly local creation from British yarn purveyor Baa Ram Ewe. It blends Wensleydale and Bluefaced Leicester with a surprise: UK alpaca. The yarn is named after Sir Titus Salt, the Yorkshire wool manufacturer and philanthropist who popularized a fashionable cloth called "alpaca" in the mid-1800s. Introducing Titus.
