Knitter's Review
March 15, 2012
The Frida pillow from The Knitter's Book of Wool

If we are truly on the cusp of a colorwork renaissance, then it's time for a little primer.

Some of the most beautiful, intricate designs are created by the artful placement of just two colors along each row. It's called "stranded knitting," and who better to teach us than Meg Swansen and Amy Detjen in their new book, Knitting With Two Colors.

This Weekend in British Columbia
This Friday and Saturday, the fourth-annual Fibreswest takes place on the Abbotsford Exhibition Park Grounds in Abbotsford, just southeast of Vancouver. Workshops cover everything from warping and felting to fibers, heel flaps, and entrelac. A marketplace features 38 vendors including Ashford Canada and Sweet Georgia Yarns.

In the Forums: Seeking Mojo
Minh has lost her knitting mojo. She has plenty of projects on the needles, but that hasn't helped. She's tried to look at books and magazines, but that didn't do it either. When you've felt stuck with your knitting, what did you do to pull yourself out?
