Knitter's Review
September 15, 2011 Imagine marrying someone and getting a yarn company in the bargain. Not a bad deal, eh? That's exactly what happened when Leonhardt Schachenmayr married the oldest daughter of Johann Gottfried Kolb in 1817. He eventually took over what became Schachenmayr, Mann and Company, which, in 2009, got shortened to SMC. The SMC Select line is all about high fashion and elegant exclusivity, and yet the yarn I review this week seems none of that. It's just a really nice knitted tube yarn called Silk Wool.
