When knitters gather, anything can happen. Certainly there's laughter, but also a lot of learning too—all tied up in a big bow of friendship.

The annual Knitter's Review Retreat took place in Williamstown, Massachusetts, last weekend. The event sold out within minutes and many people weren't able to attend, so let me bring the retreat to you this week.

Gift Ideas
Gift-knitting season is upon us. For those of you who are as unprepared as I am, here are some pattern ideas. Mary Ann Gebhartdt has a classic teddy bear that would make a charming gift, as would Kat Coyle's Huckleberry Ascot in a luscious alpaca or cashmere.
