This Weekend in New York
The bucolic town of Rhinebeck, New York, will be overrun with handknits this weekend as the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday. It's one of the largest and most important fiber festivals of the season, with hundreds of fiber-related vendors from around the country. My car is already packed, and I hope to see you there.

In the Forum: Discreet Dyelots?
Ceil is knitting a sweater out of Cascade 220 and needs more yarn—but the original dyelot is long gone. She knows she'd be able to tell how different the lots are by knitting a swatch in each, but then she wouldn't be able to return the yarn that didn't work out. Is there a way to compare the shades of different dye lots without knitting their respective skeins?
