April 8, 2010 On the western range, a uniquely new American sheep breed, called Targhee, was developed in the 1920s. Its fleece when spun is squeezable and makes for a fantastic sweater yarn. The popular breed has only one person offering a commercial spun wool yarn on a large scale. And, that's Patti of Sweet Grass Wool.
