Keeping woolwash handy

Most people consider spring the time to pull out everything and give it a good airing for summer. That's why they call it "spring cleaning," right?

But fall is actually the more important season for knitters. That's when we wake our woolens from their long summer nap and give them a thorough washing to remove any wayward moth larvae. If we wait too long, they'll start to feast on our hard work.

This week I try out the earth-friendly biodegradable duo Unicorn Fibre Wash and Fibre Rinse.

This Weekend in Missouri
The World Sheep and Fiber Arts Festival celebrates its 29th year in Bethel this weekend. There'll be vendors, fleece competitions, sheepdog demonstrations, a silent auction, sheep sale, and, of course, the crowning of the Lamb and Wool Queen.

In the Forum: When Knitting Goes Nowhere
Sara Sue is wondering if she's the only one who can knit for hours and end up with less than when she started. Has this ever happened to you? Any words of encouragement for her?
