cashmere lace and paper flowers

When I told you about the new products I saw at TNNA in January, I intentionally omitted one of my very favorite discoveries. Why? So I could tell you about it in more detail now.

It's called Nature's Palette Organic Worsted-Weight Columbia Yarn, and it's the result of a collaboration between natural dyer Darlene Hayes and teacher/fiber artist Judith MacKenzie McCuin.

Time for an Escape?
Many of us in colder climates are going a bit stir crazy right now. That's why I'm headed to Tucson this week to visit my mother and get reacquainted with the sun. If you don't have a mother in Tucson, here's another escape option: On April 29th, the Sea Socks Cruise and Yarn Expedition embarks on a five-night cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver. If you can't get away until fall, consider the Fall Fiber Frenzy cruise along the East Coast, departing September 3rd.
