Last week we traveled to New York City to see lace in a radical and subversive knitting exhibit.

Radical and subversive compared to what, you might ask? Perhaps the very same tidy and meticulous lace that Jane Sowerby studies, with scholarly reverence, in her new book Victorian Lace Today—which is where we go next.

This Weekend
Attention readers in the western Pennsylvania region, this weekend is the third-annual Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival in South Hills, just outside of Pittsburgh. The schedule includes classes and a marketplace.
