Knitter's Review
June 1, 2006

Anyone who thinks knitting is a peaceful, low-impact activity has obviously never knit socks on DPNs.

Sure, the knitting itself looks innocent enough. But during their off hours, those DPNs can cause all sorts of mischief. This week I review a simple tool that keeps project-laden DPNs out of harm's way.

Calendar Highlight
This weekend in Washington, D.C., the Textile Museum is having its annual Celebration of Textiles festival. Learn about weaving, knitting, rug restoration, dyeing, and more with hands-on activities and demonstrations. Admission is free both days.

In the Forums: Car Capers?
One forum member was asked to put her knitting away while riding as a passenger in someone else's car. The driver cited security concerns as the reason. Has that ever happened to you?
