Knitter's Review
August 4, 2005

Veronica and alpaca A visiting friend asks you to teach her how to knit. You grab some yarn and a pair of needles, and before you know it, she has a miniature project on her hands.

When it's time for her to leave, she asks if she can take her work in progress home. You glance at the pair of $20 hand-turned rosewood needles in her hands and feel your blood pressure rise.

The next time this happens, consider grabbing a pair of Crystal Palace Daisy knitting needles, which I review this week. They're colorful, inexpensive, and ideal for beginners.

Stitch 'n' Pitch Debuts!
At a Seattle Mariners baseball game last Thursday, history was being made—and not on the ballfield. Perched on an upper deck of the stadium, more than 1,600 knitters gathered for the first Stitch 'n' Pitch in Major League history. Read the news story.

As always, I thank you for your readership and support. Happy knitting, and I'll see you in the forums,
