Knitter's Review March 17, 2005
|
A few weeks ago, I quoted someone who said that bulky alpaca was too heavy for anyone to wear comfortably. Several of you wrote to protest this blasphemy. "You can wear bulky alpaca," you insisted, "and it's wonderful!"
So I set out to find a bulky alpaca. Coincidentally, I got an email from a new company that imports alpaca and alpaca blends from Peru. They specialize in supersoft baby alpaca, and they offer their yarns in worsted and—bingo!—chunky weights.
Let's give chunky a chance this week, with an in-depth review of Chunky Baby Alpaca from Catalina Yarns.
In the KR Boutique: New Tee for Spring!
One thing I've learned over the years is that life's a... stitch. That's right! And I want to spread the word, so I'm unveiling our brand new Life's a Stitch T-shirt in the boutique.
