Sometimes people ask me why I bother carding, blending, and spinning my own yarn. "Why go to all that trouble when you can just buy a skein at a store?"
The reason is so much about touch and feel that it's hard to express in words. But I just discovered an artisanal yarn that both shows the power of hand preparation and eliminates the need for you to do any of it.
In fact, from a fiber and color blending perspective, Noro Transitions is the most remarkable commercial yarn I've seen this year.
In the Boutique
It's been a busy holiday season for the boutique. Our best-seller, the 2005 Year in Yarn calendar, is not only a good stocking stuffer but a wonderful year-round reminder of the beauty of our craft. Until Sunday, December 19th, order two calendars and get a third one free.
