It's hard to maintain your enthusiasm for something you love without validation from others.
When Annie Modesitt first entered the knitting world, her self-described "unorthodox" knitting style was met with skepticism and disapproval.
Years later she learned that her technique had a name and a history. This week review her self-published book of essays and technical lessons, aptly titled Confessions of a Knitting Heretic.
