 Whether you like it or not, August is here. When I look out my windows and across the field outside, I can see that my tall grasses have turned from vibrant green to a yellow hue.
In the knitting world, the arrival of August can only mean one thing: Time to think about switching from cottons to warmer fibers. For those of you who love cotton, I have good news. You don't need to ditch cotton when colder weather arrives.
This month we'll explore cotton yarns that have been beefed up with warmer fibers. We begin with a brand new designer blend of cotton and cashmere from Debbie Bliss.

Fine-nibbed pens give you a crisp line at first, but they inevitably grow dull with use. The same was true for Debbie Bliss' brand new Cotton Cashmere, which lost its precision with wear. Does this mean the yarn was a dud? Not necessarily.
