Knitter's Review
December 19, 2002

happy new year to you all! This is the last newsletter of the year. Next week I'll be taking a break to celebrate the holidays and put the final touches on the 2003 plans for Knitter's Review.

Since this is the last update of the year, it seemed fitting to take a moment and look back at the events of the past 12 months as they've impacted the knitting community. I hope you enjoy it.

New This Week
If you're like me, you may be wondering just where in the world this year has gone. Join me as we walk through the highs and lows of 2002, from books to blogs and beyond.

Shop Talk
In the next few weeks we'll unveil a new line of writing pads featuring four of the most popular notecard images: Betty and Her Beau, Lavender Limoges, Bliss, and Whoopsie Daisy. In the meantime, our Knit Happens pencils have become instant best-sellers. Thanks everyone!

New Challenge for our Year-End Gift
Since I announced our year-end gift of a sheep through the Heifer Project, many of you expressed interest in contributing your own funds as well. Your goal would be to replace our initial sheep donation with an entire knitting basket, which consists of two sheep and two llamas.

If you're interested in joining the challenge, send a check or money order (made payable to Heifer International), in whatever amount you can afford, to:

Knitter's Review
P.O. Box 1617
Blue Hill, ME 04614

I'll keep a running tally of contributions and in early January will send them off to Heifer as a Knitter's Review community donation.

As always, thank you for your readership and for helping make Knitter's Review such a wonderful place to be. I'll see you in 2003!

P.S.-Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, use our simple Tell a Friend form and let them know about us.
