Knitter's Review October 26, 2002
|
It's hard to believe that in only two weeks I'll be in Virginia taking part in our very first Knitter's Review retreat.
More than 45 of you will be attending, and we'll be joined by the Carodan Farm Wool Shop and Stony Mountain Fibers. Weather permitting, we'll even take an early morning hayride along the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
For those of you who can't make it, we'll take plenty of pictures and post them as soon as possible. And if all goes well, I'll start plans for the 2003 retreat.
New This Week
The review is new, but the book isn't. This classic hardback first appeared in 1989 and quickly became a much-coveted (and high-priced) item. I still remember the wonder and excitement I felt when I got my own copy of Vogue Knitting.
The good news is that the book was recently updated and republished. This week I sit it down with my old copy and compare notes.
In the Forums
Knitting is out, macrame is in. Or is it crochet? This week we're talking about the current knitting craze, where it came from, and whether or not it can be sustained. Share your thoughts.
