Knitter's Review September 13, 2002
|
During my yarn-spotting adventures I rarely come across a yarn shop that offers its own private-label yarn. And when I do, it's mostly at smaller shops with their own flock of sheep in the back field.
The rest of this month we'll look at the exceptions, house yarns from yarn shops big and small, across the country.
New This Week
According to the label, Halcyon Yarns' Botanica is reminiscent of a stroll through a lush and vibrant botanical garden. We take it for a test knit to see if this claim is true.

A Bear-able Retreat
To better learn the principles of an EPS sweater during our retreat workshop, each participant will get to make a miniature sweater. And to give the sweater a deserving home, each participant also gets a commemorative retreat teddy bear!
