Knitter's Review
July 18, 2002

fresh strawberry and freshly spun angoraWe have an unusually high number of newcomers this week, and I'd like to welcome you all to our family. In honor of your arrival, I thought it appropriate to go over a few housekeeping items.

All Knitter's Review subscribers are automatically given a temporary username and password for the forums. The username is your email address, and the password is everything prior to the @ symbol in your email address.

Generally you won't want to keep your email address as your username, so after you log in to the forums for the first time, just click on the "My Profile" link to change it.

Forum groupies may notice a few changes this week too. To keep things fresh, I've shuffled the topics and added a new folder specifically for event discussions.

New This Week
There's no denying the time and patience it takes to knit fine lace. Investing in good materials can make the process much more pleasurable. I review an heirloom-quality lace yarn, Helen's Lace, from Lorna's Laces.

Speaking of pleasurable experiences, read about a recent visit to Adventures in Knitting, the oldest yarn shop on Cape Cod.

In the Forums
Too often we knit more for others than for ourselves. Why is this?

Subscribe and Win
Would you like a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to L.L. Bean? Simply stay subscribed to this newsletter and you're automatically in the drawing, which takes place at the end of this month.

Happy knitting, and I'll chat with you in the forums.

Sincerely,

P.S.-Do you have friends who would enjoy Knitter's Review? If so, use our simple Tell a Friend form and let them know about us.
